Suzette Morgan, a soprano, holds a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from University of Memphis, and a Master of Music degree in vocal performance from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. She also holds a teaching certificate in the states of South Carolina and Kentucky in P-12 music and teaches both voice lessons and beginning piano lessons.
Suzette has been a member of the Asheville Choral Society, the Asheville Symphony Chorus, the Greensboro Opera Chorus, and has performed with the Memphis Symphony Chorus. She has worked with teachers and coaches such as Robert Kirkham, George Skipworth, Charles Lynam, and Valery Ryvkin. While residing in North Carolina, Suzette taught beginning piano lessons and voice for five years at the School of Music at Biltmore Baptist.
The students that Suzette teaches vary in age and ability levels, from young beginners to adults. Some students study voice seriously, while others study simply for their own enjoyment. Her students attend Louisville’s top high schools for music, such as the Youth Performing Arts School, and are actively involved in the Louisville music community. Suzette’s teaching methods are grounded in the fundamentals of vocal pedagogy and of classical technique.
