Hiromi Sasaki

Hiromi holds a Doctor of Arts degree from Ball State University, with a primary emphasis in piano performance and a secondary emphasis in music theory, where she was awarded the Dean’s Citation for Academic Excellence. She earned a Master of Music degree from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Music degree from The OhioState University, both in piano performance.

During her studies, Hiromi received scholarships and assistantships. She presented and performed at conferences and masterclasses both in the United States and internationally, including the College Music Society and the Adamant Music School. In addition to her focus on piano performance, she has a deep appreciation for early music and enjoys playing the harpsichord.

Hiromi has taught students from diverse backgrounds. Her students have successfully auditioned for programs such as the Youth Performing Arts School, the Louisville Youth Orchestra, the ISSMA State Competition, and various professional and volunteer performance opportunities. Alongside her private instruction, she has worked as an accompanist and taught collegiate-level group piano and music theory course

Outside of her musical career, Hiromi immerses herself in science fiction and enjoys the companionship of cats and birds. She is a proud mother of two children and the partner of her loving and supportive husband.
