JuRang Kim has distinguished herself as a passionate, powerful performer and dedicated teacher. Ms. Kim earned her Master of Music degree at the Setnor School of Music at Syracuse University as a scholarship recipient. Additionally, she is also the first recipient of the Setnor School of Music Performance Award for Strings which is awarded to students who demonstrate excellence in performance. Ms. Kim also holds a Teaching Artist Certificate from Longy School of Music of Bard College, and has spent many years developing her own teaching style.
Ms. Kim is an active, and diverse performer who has appeared in concert internationally. She has served as concertmaster of Syracuse University Orchestra, the Lyrica Chamber Orchestra, EMF Symphony Orchestra, and was a member of the YMF Debut Orchestra in CA, a guest violinist for the Cheongju City Chamber Orchestra in South Korea, Moritzburg Festival Orchestra in Germany, and has performed with the American Symphony Orchestra among others.
Ms. Kim and her husband, Jaekyu, enjoy playing the violin and the guitar together whenever they get a chance.
