Kaleb Collins

Kaleb Collins is a professional bassist and dedicated music educator, currently a member of the Louisville Orchestra. Originally from Tennessee, he began his musical journey under the guidance of Daniel Thompson, his middle school’s orchestra director and former Knoxville Symphony bassist. He later earned degrees from the University of Memphis and the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) at the University of Cincinnati, where he studied with John Chiego and Rachel Calin, respectively.

Kaleb has performed with orchestras such as the Chattanooga Symphony, Knoxville Symphony, Memphis Symphony, Nashville Symphony, and Cincinnati Symphony. Beyond the concert hall, his playing can be heard in popular film, TV, and video game soundtracks recorded with Nashville Music Scoring. He has also performed in numerous musical theater productions, including a season with the College Light Opera Company.

As an educator, Kaleb served as the CCM bass studio’s graduate teaching assistant. He has also previously maintained his own private studios in both Cincinnati and East Tennessee, helping students of all levels to achieve their personal goals—whether that’s excelling in school ensembles, auditioning for youth orchestras, or preparing for college music programs.
