Description of Mini Music Makers

Mini Music Makers will  prepare children for private instrumental or vocal lessons. They will develop listening and concentration skills through fun activities which teach music basics while improving fine motor skills.

The classes are small groups of children ages 3 to 6 years, grouped according to skill level. The teacher will assess students during the first few lessons and discuss with parents if she feels a change in class level  would benefit the student.

They are expected to take part in activities and focus as much as they are able. The material, based on nursery rhymes and folk songs, includes rhythm games, movement and finger play activities, listening games and more. With a variety of instruments and activities, the children will have fun as they learn the structure of a 30 minute music lesson. Once they have completed all three classes, they will be ready for a confident start in lessons for an instrument of their choice.
